3 Line Review: Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert

I was hesitant to read this oft-recommended book, thinking that it would be some clever quasi-new age psychologist capitalizing on people's time tested desire to learn the secret to happiness. The book, written by Harvard professor Gilbert, is actually quite interesting though, offering insight into how we humans (surprisingly) tend to be blind to our inability to predict how we will feel about any future event. Although the book won't warrant a reread (I'm glad to have only rented it from the library), its window into how we view ourselves is worth taking a look through.
