3 Line Review: Influence by Robert Cialdini
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion will teach you how people persuade others to do what they want, and how to avoid being trapped by one of the six "weapons of influence." Most of what the book teaches is common sense, however the case studies are super interesting. As far as results go, my sales as a telemarketer for the Philly Opera have yet to shoot through the roof after reading this book, but the amount of donations I was getting did pretty much double after I started taking advantage of the "weapons of influence."
